About Us

Selam Haile MSW, I was born and raised in Eritrea. I left my home and family behind and immigrated to the States. I am a first gen Cal Alum, a double bear; I graduated with a B.A. in Sociology and HRI and with Masters in Social Work from UC Berkeley. My practice is rooted in intersectional social justice and community organizing in addressing equity and access to education for marginalized communities. In my role, I support Student Parents thrive during their time and succeeding beyond their academic journey at UC Berkeley. I am commited in empowering student parents to experience true belonging and thrive, while navigating the barriers they encounter.
